Dr. Jonathan Cotter, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Cotter is the clinic's Medical Director and Collaborating Physician. He is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and was licensed as an instructor in Chinese Kung Fu. His certifications include: family medicine, root cause protocol, and functional medicine. He also provides integrative psychiatry. Dr. Cotter and his wife, Peggy, live north of Madison on an organic hobby farm where they raise virtually all their own food Together they have five children together all who are in varying stages of their lives. In addition to studying medicine, Dr. Cotter writes and arranges music and plays jazz trumpet. He is also involved in publishing a book on acupuncture theory.

Dr. Aaron Henkel ND
Dr. Aaron Henkel, ND, is a board-certified Naturopathic Doctor and founder of the Family Clinic of Natural Medicine. A graduate of Bastyr University, he brings a rich background in natural healing, including experience as a health-food store owner and preceptorships in cancer care, sports medicine, and IV therapy. Dr. Henkel offers holistic care for all ages, helping patients manage conditions such as chronic fatigue, allergies, eczema, autoimmune issues, and more. He is passionate about empowering families to take charge of their health through a biblical approach. Outside the clinic, he enjoys the outdoors, playing piano, and spending time with his wife and seven children.

Dr. Rebecca Georgia ND
Dr. Rebecca Georgia, ND, is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Bridgeport’s College of Naturopathic Medicine and is certified in Craniosacral Therapy and First Line Therapy. After overcoming her own autoimmune diagnosis through natural medicine, she now helps patients reverse chronic disease and regain wellness through individualized, evidence-based care. Her areas of focus include women’s health, autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, gastrointestinal concerns, and food sensitivities. Dr. Georgia is passionate about listening to her patients and empowering them to take control of their health. Outside the clinic, she enjoys time with her family outdoors, especially camping and attending her children’s sporting events.

Dr. Robert Coleman Jr., ND, LMT
Dr. Robert Coleman Jr., ND, LMT, is a graduate of Bastyr University and specializes in integrative medicine, environmental toxicology, and naturopathic physiatry. He has advanced training in IV therapy, primary care, and pain management, with a special focus on Lyme disease. Dr. Coleman is the president of the Wisconsin Naturopathic Doctors Association and a member of the AANP. He is known for his warm, patient-centered care and dedication to helping patients achieve optimal health. Dr. Coleman and his wife have three sons, and husky named Skyla. He enjoys staying current on research, spending time outdoors, and camping with his family.

Dr. Charlotte Litjens, ND
Dr. Charlotte Litjens, ND, is a family-focused naturopathic doctor with specialized training in integrative cancer care and autism spectrum disorder. A graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, she blends clinical research, natural therapies, and emotional support to help patients through cancer treatment and beyond. She also supports children on the autism spectrum with biomedical care that addresses underlying physiological concerns. A Wisconsin native with a background in child nutrition and agriculture, Dr. Litjens brings a unique understanding of how food and health connect. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, creative pursuits, and skiing with her Samoyed dog.

Allison Thurner, Clinic Manager
Allison joined our clinic as Manager in March 2024. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Healthcare Management. In her role, Allison’s priority is to keep daily operations running smoothly so our healthcare team can focus fully on patient care. She is especially passionate about removing barriers to quality, affordable, and holistic healthcare.
Allison married her high school sweetheart and they recently welcomed their first child. She enjoys decorating her home, planning family projects, and spending time with her husband outdoors hiking, fishing, and traveling. Allison and her family are active in their church, and she strives to let her faith shape the way she serves both her co-workers and our patients.

Michelle Klock, Assistant Clinic Manager
Michelle has been part of the clinic family since 2012, serving for many years as Clinic Manager before transitioning to Assistant Clinic Manager to spend more time with her loved ones. She continues to play a vital role in supporting clinic operations and is dedicated to truly hearing and helping those around her. Michelle lives in Madison, where she enjoys close connections with her husband, three children, and four grandchildren. She also teaches Sunday school, loves photography, gardening, camping, and travel, and creates YouTube videos with her husband. Michelle dreams of traveling the country with her family in an RV, visiting every state capital and national park along the way.

Ben Hanus, Medical Assistant
Ben brings a background in marketing and administrative roles to his position as Medical Assistant and is eager to grow his skills in natural medicine alongside the clinic team. He holds a bachelor’s degree from UW-Whitewater and enjoys combining his professional strengths with his passion for patient care. Ben and his wife have three children and enjoy a busy and joyful family life. Outside of work, he listens to podcasts on his commute, plays and writes piano music, dabbles in photography, enjoys volleyball, and relaxes with classic films—always with a cup of coffee in hand.

Nikki Ames, Registered Nurse
Nikki is passionate about creating a safe and welcoming space for patients and brings diverse nursing experience from nursing homes, hospice, in-home care, a hospital cardiac unit, and an oral surgery office since earning her degree from Blackhawk Technical College in 2019. She loves learning and is excited to grow with the clinic while practicing the principles she values in her own life. Nikki is married to her high school sweetheart and have a son. Together they enjoy football, fishing, and relaxing at the lake. In her free time, Nikki can be found crafting, sewing, baking, reading, hiking, or soaking up the sun—and when the holidays arrive, she happily surrounds herself with her favorite Hocus Pocus and Grinch decorations.

Jodi Wipperfurth, Registered Nurse
Jodi joins our team after spending sixteen years at home raising and homeschooling her three sons, now ages 21, 19, and 16. With ten years of nursing experience in Medical/Surgical care, Pre and Post Op, and Labor and Delivery, she is excited to return to the field and to help people find answers to their health concerns through functional medicine, which she loves for its whole-person approach to helping individuals thrive. Jodi enjoys baking, hiking, camping, reading, playing games, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Arielle Jones, Phlebotomist
Arielle graduated with a degree in Exercise Science in 2024 and is continuing her education in pursuit of a career in physical therapy. She is passionate about healthy living and enjoys exploring the many pillars of health. Arielle loves working in the clinic setting and values the opportunity to learn from both patients and doctors.
Outside of work, she enjoys sports, hiking, biking, lifting, reading, traveling to new cities, and spending time with her family. Arielle was recently married and is enjoying this new stage of life, including serving alongside her husband, who is a youth pastor.

Madison Solberg, Admin Assistant
With a genuine passion for natural medicine and a strong belief in holistic wellness, Madison is proud to be part of a team that prioritizes compassionate, integrative care. Outside of work, Madison enjoys hiking, going to baseball games, lifting weights, and playing the piano. She also is actively involved at her church, volunteering anywhere that is needed.

Tammi Howell Admin Assistant
Tammi is often one of the first friendly faces patients see at the front desk. She and her husband, Dean, have been married for over 39 years and enjoy a busy family life with four sons, seven grandchildren, two dogs, a cat, and even chickens. Outside of work, Tammi loves gardening, camping, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She has also served as a pastor’s wife for 25 years, remaining active in her church community. Tammi finds great joy in being part of the clinic and supporting patients on their health journey.

Jeanne Shamrowicz, Admin Assistant
Jeanne supports the clinic as Administrative Assistant and supplement dispensary manager, bringing years of experience from managing health and wellness departments at a co-op in Stevens Point before moving in 2015. She finds it rewarding to be part of a team dedicated to functional and holistic healing and enjoys seeing the impact this care has on patients. Jeanne is the proud mother of two adult sons and grandmother of eight, and she cherishes time spent with her growing family. Her personal interests include camping, hiking, music and cultural festivals, dancing, gardening, the arts, and connecting with friends.

Heather Ravenscroft, Admin Assistant
Heather brings a genuine passion for functional medicine, which she discovered after her own search for answers beyond conventional care. She values the ever-evolving nature of this approach and feels truly blessed to support patients in their health journeys while working alongside such a wonderful team. Heather and her husband, Kevin, have been married for 25 years and raised three sons, now young men ages 21, 19, and 17. They enjoy hiking, spending time outdoors, traveling, watching movies, and being with family.

Sheri Schmeling, Admin Assistant
With 27 years of experience in Administration, Sheri truly enjoys supporting the team and being part of such a caring and dedicated group of people. She started with the clinic in 2025 as an admin assistant.
Sheri and her husband spend much of their time with their three boys, and enjoy sports events, camping, and family time. She is passionate about functional medicine—She and her son were both patients before joining the clinic, which makes the work especially meaningful to her.
